PDS Certificate Programs
A certificate program is a collection of individual PDS classes related to a particular topic. PDS offers five certificate programs to recognize state employees' efforts to improve their job skills and abilities.
- Achievement
- Administrative Assistant Certificate Program
- Applied Business Series (ABS)
- Applied Management Series (AMS)
- Applied Writing Series (AWS)
- Foundations of Government (formerly QRA)
Depending on the program, course work must be completed within two to three years of enrollment in the program. Upon completion of all course work, participants should notify their department's Training Liaison. PDS will then issue a certificate of completion signed by the Governor.
Iowa Certified Public Manager (CPM) Program
Performance & Development Solutions and Drake University have partnered to offer a CPM Program for Iowa. The purpose of the program is to guide public managers to incorporate best-practice management techniques into their everyday management strategies. More information
